Textbook of Stroke Medicine

This concise and informative textbook is aimed at trainee doctors beginning work on a stroke unit or residents embarking on their postdoctoral training in stroke care. It has a practical approach covering all important issues of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases. Chapters on the basics of neuropathology and pathophysiology are followed by reviews of clinical issues, including neuroimaging, clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment, stroke in the young, and stroke-related dementia.
